This is Buffy, who is now twelve years old, though he looks much the same, depending on his haircut, as he always has.  He is a Shih Tzu and lives in Carthage, North Carolina. I will let him tell you his story.  

     Hi, I'm Buffy, I grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and moved to North Carolina in nine years ago.  I live out in the country and love rural living.  I get to go fishing which is my favorite thing to do.  I now have two new sisters, though, which is a 24-hour-a-day job trying to keep an eye on them as I'm not getting any younger.  Life in North Carolina is about as good as it gets.

   This cute little puppy was in a local shelter. His sister had been all ready adopted out and he was all alone by himself. On top of that he had a horrible cold. He never had a lot of human contact and was really nervous and scarred of people. I saw him a week before he could be adopted and knew that he was the one. We rushed down to the shelter to see him, and of course me, I fall in love. His shelter name was Wally, but I immediately knew he needed a stronger name.  

     I had to wait a whole week until we could sign the papers and adopt him. So at 9:00am on the day the waiting period was over, we waited at the shelter. When they opened up, we said that we would like to see the puppy in cage C13. They brought him out and me and him clicked so well, right away. He was not scared of me. The ladies their said that he and I were really good together, too. So we adopted him and now he is my best little friend I could ever have.
